The Venerable Drubpon trinley Yeshe Rinpoche was born in 1941. He took his ordination at age twelve from Thritsab thubten Wangpo and began to study ritual practice and vajra dance. At the age of thirty-nine, he took his full monastic ordination from Drubwang Pachung Rinpoche. He was under the guidance of Pachung Rinpoche and pachung Rinpoche's disciple Tenzin Nyima and later he did his three-year retreat at the Drikung Thil Monastery in Tibet. After Pachung Rinpoche passed away, he offered his body, speech and mind to his Guru and also did another three-year retreat of meditation on Mahamudra out of gratitude to his Guru. In 1992, he was appointed by His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche to become a retreat master at the Drikung Kagyu Institute in northern India. During His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche's one-month retreat at Almora, Drubpon Yeshi Rinpoche offered the practice of "The Six Yogas of Naropa" to His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche who praised Drubpon Yeshe Rinpoche for his high realization in practice |
